Spring Fling !

OK folks the time is getting short. Spring Fling on Wylie will be here before ya know it. Saturday , April ,28 at Ebenezer Ramp on Lake Wylie. If you planning on coming out please post your number of folks coming to fish. And if there are some coming for the cookout please list how many that will be also. We got a smaller shelter this year. But we going to have plenty of tables. You need to bring your folding chairs please. We have a few extra but don't count on them being available. We have all the food under control. Have asked for a couple special dishes from folks. Maybe a dessert if you want. But post it so we will know what to look for. Hoping for a great turnout. Want to invite families and friends of CDC from near and far. I may come up with a special prize for the one that travels the longest trip. We need kids ! It is more fun to watch the kids fish and tell the story of the big one that got away. And they are the future of CDC. So please sign on so the Dawgg can find enough food for all. Lets make him work for it this year. Hope to see ya there.

Hope ya make it out. You will meet some super nice folks there. And catch a few fish. If you know where the N.C/S.C. line is you wont need SC. license. But make sure you know the line.

Hey yall ,It is getting down to it. Make your plans and come on out for this event. If you never been to one you may find out you like it. We always have a load of fun and plenty of good food. This is for all CDC members, family and friends. There is no charge for this but we do put out a donation jar to help cover the cost. The fish should be bitin real good by then. So if you longline, spider rig, tightline , or single pole jigging come out and give it a try. If you are bringing kids let us know how many and ages please. Try to have something for each of em. Do have a little something for the crew that travels the longest distance. Get your hall pass and coe on down. The BiggDawgg is watin for his belly rubs !

Everybody just puts ther boat back on the trailer when they are thru fishing and leave for home after the event.

Please! Don't tie up the dock area. Lot of problems with someone just sitting there or leaving a boat tied and blocking others from use of the docks. Like Don said, please, load your boat back on your trailer. I know you may be planning to ride down from Buster Boyd Bridge or launch from Nivens Creek but it only creates a problem for other using the docks. We will be at shelter 5 and there will be plenty of parking around it. Thanks! :highfive

I was going to be coming in from Copperhead Island Access... and I know not to block up the dock, I'll come up with another plan.

Thats what i remember also, no good place to beach the boat from what i remember

There is a small area. to left side of ramp that has a sandy beach. But lots of people fish from there. I would be afraid to leave a boat unattended there.

I just bought this, has a stand also, so let me know if it is needed for people to heat food up. I bought it so i can do fish fry's anywhere i go.

Time is getting close people. Please sign on so Mama Dawgg will know how much food to get. She is super nice but don't like stragglers. We also need the number of young folks coming out. We consider anyone up to age 13 as young. Not 13 but up to it. Please let us have an idea what to plan for. Ya don't want to be hungry and we don't want the young folks not to have a prize.Lets get this Fling rockin !

Well, I will not be able to attend the springfest this year. Just got too many projects going on. Hope the weather holds and the fish bite.

Hey Dawgg, Add 10 more to the eat list. Buddy from work bringing his kids and in-laws kids ,and I got myself and two on my boat. They have a toon boat they will fish off of.

Ray , Sorry you cant make it. But you welcome up anytime. Hope we can get another fish and eat trip down your way soon.

Alright guys, Put me down for 2 adults and 2 kids, 10 year old and a 12 year old. Will be making the long trip from Camden. Cant pass up a great opportunity to meet all of you folks. I have never fished Wylie, but anxious to see what it has to offer.
