That's just a shame, these folks now days don't have any regard for other people or property. I remember spending a lot of Friday and Saturday nights drinking beer and having bonfires around Grenada lake in the 90's, we always had rangers and sheriff deputies stop and have a chat. Mostly to make sure we weren't getting out of hand and that we all had a safe way to get home. That was prior to the 100% alcohol ban on the lake, the irresponsible pleasure boaters ruined that for everyone else. Would like to see them caught and punished to the full extent of the law as well, but if they happen to be kids then the worst thing now days in our catch and release judicial system is they might get a good talking too! They are just mischievous and bored "youths" after all, and some how that equates to the rest of our (society's) problem to deal with. The problem starts at home in my opinion.
That's the reason I always use that ramp, because I don't have to pull my boat up on rocks or mud.
This sux bad, really hate this.
I hope they catch 'em. Destruction of Federal Property will prolly be a felony! Our society is going bad, guys!

All the free lake maps have phone numbers to report misuse and personal needs like a tow when broken down . Pick some up and watch for that three percent of the word called delinquent . It always amused me how some will break bathroom fixtures with a pipe . What satisfaction are they getting ? Saw the bathroom at prophet bridge destroyed 3 times in one month . Pay attention to your surroundings ,it is not 1960. Report misuse .:twocents

Sure hate this for the people that fish Grenada. Going to be a pain for a lot of older people that depend on docks getting in and out of there boats. Remember if you "see something say something" things like this is going to be up to good people stopping bad people.

I hate that. I made a 12" rope just for that dock to a dock cleat to may boat cleat. I hope they catch them and I hope they replace it soon. One of the few ramps you can use without pulling up on rocks or mud.
Things that make you wonder what was actually going thru their minds right as these events were about to happen. What was so wrong in their life to destroy something they probably never had any joy or even used to reap the true benefits.

I heard by someone at the tourney that an electrical outlet to the lights or something installed on the dock caught on fire. I wasn’t aware it was intentionally set ablaze.

I was told Friday that it was set. and that's coming from corp.
An electrical short causing the problem would have been a lot easier to swallow, but total destruction by drugged-out low-lifes is hard to even chew! Hope this doesn't cause copy catting that the kids are doing these days. This is total sadness for all of us that love this sport.
and they pulled up two of the collection boxes and stole the money out of them. now how much money do you think they got out of those. maybe $10-20.

That sucks. I have used that ramp for several years because it is a lot easier to get in and out of the boat than trying to crawl over the front, through the rod holders, over the trolling motor and into the boat. I hope the Corp. can replace it but on the other hand if it is just going to get destroyed I can understand not.
If the Corps does replace it, a CCTV installed and monitored by the Ranger office would be a good investment and deterrent. That whole area is isolated and not in view of any traffic across the dam. It's a wonder they didn't vandalize the new building there.

Anyone hear if they are going to replace the burned part of the dock? Did they ever catch the culprits?
They plan to fix it at lower levels so be at least fall
