I watched a YouTube video on tying a slip float knot. Then I bought some 30lb Dacron line, the kind made for fly rod backing. I now think 20 lb would be better.
Measure 60 ft and tired the knot at the reel. 8 rods, all the same.
60 ft was just a distance I use,

Works well . Knots don’t move unless you force them. So if I get a tangle and lose 10 ft, I can reset
