Wheeler 3-16/3-18

Fished wheeler Friday from 7 till 11 scratched out 20. Left them biting, had some stuff to do around the house. Went again today caught a limit and was on the trailer at 1215. Also caught some nice shell cracker. Water was slightly stained but clearing up. Water temp today was anywhere from 54-58. No one color really showed out either day. Used monkey milk, blue white, may fly, eclipse, lights out and several others. Also used a few marabou jigs. Was glad to finally have some decent weather when i was off work. Seems like every day I'm off it rains or wind blows Mach1.

Good work! You did a lot better than I did. I fished wheeler yesterday and today in my kayak, and only managed 7-8 keepers each time. The bream were on fire though. I think I could have limited on them if I'd been targeting them with smaller looks.

I know what u mean Prater about the wind or rain. Off tomorrow and it’s suppose to storm. Irks me. Good job on getting on them and toughing it out

Do you fish more upper Wheeler around Decatur or lower like first, second, or the Elk?

Good looking mess of fish there. What technique were you using? Single poling, trolling, spider rigging, float and fly? With all the colors you used, seemed like it was pretty steady for you.
