Need to know a little reel information

What is the difference in the two pflueger president spinning reels besides just the color as the pink ones are much cheaper(almost half price and if they are the same quality I will just be color blind:rolleyes:) for some reason. I am thinking that the pink just did not sell as well to lady's as the blue did for men. I would also like to know if the model size 25's are a good choice for casting light line and light jigs for crappie. Here is the spec. on the 25's:

I always thought they were the same reel, just different color. I kind of like pink!:biggrin The 25 is just about right for casting jigs, at least for me.

Same exact reel just different color. Everyone decided a couple years ago to get on the pink band wagon for breast cancer awareness. Don't think it worked so good for most of them. I bought some pink bait casters from Pheluger a couple years ago for dirt cheap. Wish I had bought everyone they had. Been great spider rigging reels. That reel should be fine for what your wanting to cast. Got one president and its best spinning reel I own.

Thanks for the reel information just ordered 2 of the pink ones. Got them both for less than the price that 1 blue one would have cost. That's why I love crappie.com so much. Crappie fishermen helping me and others with good information. Tight lines and hoping everyone a crappie limit. :ThumbsUp

Regardless for the reason, you could not have bought a better spinning reel. I own 4 of them now (the smaller #6920 size) and I will never go back to Shimano again! :)

Only 30's and up left now. The 25's are a 2000 series in size and I cast 1/32 and a bobby garland a long way with my reels of that size. You should be able to do the same. Really want to cast? Try a spool of 4lb Nanofil and put a 4lb leader on it for abrasion. Mine will cast into the woods if I'm not careful.

I just ordered 2 of the 25 models from Fisherman's Factory Outlet. Where did you look? I got the Lady models. Since I am truly colorblind it doesn't make any difference to me. I will tell the wife I got them just for her.
