So I just got home from Wal-Mart. They had the Arkie 1/32oz minnow head jigs on closeout.
Anyone know if that is Wal-Mart making room for new stock or is Arkie doing away with them?

It's been my experience in Indy, they clearance out the some of the fishing equipment this time of year. I think it's to make room for new models. I've already hit the clearance aisle last week and last year got some real good deals.

I just made my weekly Walmart run. Got some Mr. Crappie jigs for $1.00 a pack and some Johnson Shad tubes for .50 a pack. My local Walmart has alot of fishing tackle on clearance.
I picked up a BnM duck commander ultralite for $19 for the wife. Only rod I found one clearance in the two local stores.
Wow! Everybody got some cool stuff.
I got all this at my wm for $37.

My Walmart still has a ton of Arkie products on the shelves, and only a couple of small "closeout" racks (and no Arkie stuff on them). Pricing looks about normal on those Arkie things still on the shelf. :scratchhead

At my store, Arkie is all back to full price.
I stop by another Walmart tonight and pick up 3 countdown Rapala's for a $1 and 6 spools of Spiderwire fluoro for a $1 a spool. I went a different store and they did not have anything. I did see two of the ultra light rods but I did not run them thru the scanner.
Pico has some new minnow head jigs out now....they have skipjack hooks on them....wont break like sickle hooks sometimes do and they have really good barbs on them.

And not much on a clearance of anything this year in any other around ft worth from what I saw
I have been to six Walmarts over the last week and half. Three by the house and two by the job. Two them had no deals at all. Two of them had some deals and two of them had great deals. The funny thing is the first and last store had the best deals. The best deals I found were on crank baits and fishing line.
When it comes to Wal-Mart, like I said earlier, if it's around their inventory time they'll put out new old stock to clear it out and make inventory easier. That said, NOT ALL stores have their inventory done at the same tme.
