The one and done experiment has failed.
If he was even close to a great coach he would have about 4 championships by now. If you look at the teams he has had with Kentucky,he should have at least 2 with them. Great snake oil salesman, average coach. Actually I’m surprised that a program like KY has dealt with his misfortune this long.

It's kinda hard to win 4 Championships in 8yrs, considering the one and done effect. But, still ... no other coach has won 4 titles in their first 8yrs at a school, either, so does that make them "average coaches" ?? Remember, he's taking fresh out of high school players and making a winning team out of them, and has FAR more NBA draft picks than anyone else. For all the "other" high end college basketball programs, it's probably a good thing that the ball players we've had didn't stay for 4yrs ... jus sayin'Quote:

There were no allegations made against Calipari by the NCAA ... so there was no "lying" necessary on his part. If Memphis was so concerned that he had a part in the situation, they'd have fired him .... just like Louisville did Pitino. And he'd have likely ended up at KY, anyway. We were suffering from Gillespie's actions, and would have taken a local middle school coach rather than keep him. And if he's just an "average" coach ... how did he manage to put Memphis on the record board ??Quote:
