High Rock 3/10
Linda and I came up for a few days get away. Didn't get on the water till 12:30 or 1 fished till 5 . Managed to catch 10. Turkey foot came by and caught 12 in about an hour and a half. I need to fish this lake more often. Linda had big fish and most fish for us. I'll post a picture and length when she sends me the picture. Looks like rain tomorrow, I hope they are wrong. The house we are renting is right at tarmac. This is my vacation 3 big days

Glad you got away for a day or two. Hope you enjoy being up there while .:highfive

Hate to see the rain today messing up your plans but we do need it. Sounds like a great cabin and location to spend time at.
-
Stump, it's a nice little house close to the ramp, raining now. Hope it clears later today. I'd like to get a few more on the boat tomorrow

Hey Grady. They fish under the tamarac bridge and catch crappie. Worth a walk w an umbrella. Hopefully something to sit down on while u are there.
-
Last night on the way back there wasn't room to park another boat under the bridge. About 100 ft towards the ramp the screen lit up with either crappie or perch. 1st break I get I'm going look there again
-
hope the weather clears up for you and you get to fish more
I've been wanting to go back to high rock but just not in my
schedule to get there. hopefully it comes soon

They're talking 2 inches of snow tomorrow. I don't mind fishing in the snow as long as it's gone by Tuesday so I can get home. Fishing is usually good in the snow.
It seems that it always rains when I go on vacation, maybe when I retire I'll hire out as again maker

We gave up this morning about 9am packed up and started home. As I was hooking up the boat I had sleet/ rain/wind and snow made for a messy ride home.
The boat cover is laying in the garage drying out. You can bet tomorrow it will be clear and sunny with no wind.
I'll unload the boat and try to get it organized for the next trip.
Here's a shot of Linda with her PB, notice her arm is bent not holding it close to the camera

Tell Linda congrats on her new PB.:) With the weather like it has been these past couple weeks it more a "hit or miss" type of fishing IMO. In about a week/10 days I think it will be a BIG turnaround weather-wise from what it is now.....but I'm guessing. The eggs are maturing....and the fish are gonna lay. It would be nice if the weather would straighten out just a little and we get to move to the shallows to catch a few.;)

Glad she had a pb. Wish you two more would have had better weather

Nothing like good quality time on the water with the ones you love!
-
Nice fish ! Glad you remembered where we caught em last time !

John, I just went back to the x I put out when we were there. They bit the same way once in a while, just kept moving around the area. Then moved to the channel by the marina and picked up a couple before the rain got started
