Sometimes it pays to be old, but the pay is lousy.
I got a question for you TN guys. I moved from Tn to Ms 20 yrs ago. I am planning to buy non-resident fishing license. Can I go to a Wal-Mart or Dick's in Memphis, or do I have to buy it online? I'm planning some trips to TN to fish with Blueball (hopefully) and some on the TN River.
Thanks!
Thanks, ET. Guess it was a kinda stupid question. You guys wouldn't be wanting to buy one of those! I blame it on a Senior moment....it always works for me!:biggrin
Thanks for the reminder, I had totally forgotten.

You can purchase them however you wish, online or at a local store.
Question: Were you born in TN ?
If so they now have a "Native Tennessean" license that allows us to purchase license at resident prices!! The only draw back is you have to print an application and send to Nashville. You have to provide a few documents but for the $$ it saves it was well worth it to me anyhow, for just a non-resident fishing it may not be worth your time.
Example, I used to pay $405 per year for annual hunting/fishing!! Now I pay $166
P.S. I agree with the others....watch that Blueball fella!! I think he is just needing another net man! lol
Jamey is a good dude.
Thanks for info, Showme. Yes I was born in TN and lived there 50 yrs (minus time in the Army), but I don't want the hassle applying for that. Anyway I'm just wanting only fishing. Interesting about that option for natives though. Didn't know TN had it.
As for blueball, he's no stranger to us down here. We let him come down here every year! Yep, a fine dude!!
Now if you are a "Native Tennessean", and I don't mean Native American. This should interest you.

Your in you qualify!!!!!
Thanks to all you guys who replied about the new Resident law. However, it would cost me more to try to get a resident TN license that way than to just go buy one. A Certified True Copy of your Birth Certificate cost $59.87 and a non-resident fishing license is $50.00!
Thanks again anyway, and hope to see ya on the water in Tennessee!
