COMBO TROLLING LAKE OCONEE 2/20/18 (VIDEO)
Jim and I fished Lake Oconee today from 7:30-1:30. The water was 57 degrees when we started and got up to 64-65 degrees by the time we finished. The pulling rods were double rigged 1/16 oz over 1/32 oz and the pushing rods were rigged with 3/4 oz sinker and a 1/16 oz jig head. We were trolling 1 mph and spent a lot of time fishing water 8-18 feet deep. We were both trying to run our jigs about 5-6 feet below the surface of the water. I was making much shorter casts than usual with the long lines to keep the jigs running shallow. There was no dominant color jig for us today. The fish were looking up.
