My office is literally a stones throw from the beautiful scenic and historic Ouachita river in Camden. Tuesday morning it was at 10.78. Currently it is at 21.66, and headed to 36 by Sunday morning. But with more rain to come that is surely to change.
Not to hijack the thread, but rain related for a newbie here. With all the rain we are getting now, levels/temps changing how will that affect fishing?
I overlook the Arkansas River downtown... it has shot up a good 3 feet overnight.

Everything in west central Arkansas high and rising . Things gonna be messed up bad for awhile .Lots more rain coming . May be a bad spring for fishing this year .:(

It's amazing how quickly things can change. I have had a very productive Winter Fish. I was looking forward to Spring. We are just going to have to adapt and overcome in the next week's. Maumelle sure needed the water.Quote:

Lake Conway is at 265.1 feet. This is 3.1’ above winter pool and 2.1’ above normal pool. With more rain falling now and more to come, it will likely rise higher. It sure seems like these heavy rain events have been more frequent the last decade.

I was in Camden today, well in the Highland Industrial Park anyway. I came in via Fordyce, they said the road in from Camden was flooded this morning.Quote:

I saw on the news that the Saline river rose 20 feet in one day.
Here in the Village the spillways are full of clear blue water that is being washed out of the lakes by muddy inflow.
We have gotten 11 inches here at the house since Wednesday, I talked to some folks here in the Village who had gotten 12 and 16 inches.
