Well I'm ready for night fishing now. The red on the inside turned out great not to bright. I have a dimmer to put on them just in case.

Wow! Nice job! I did black light LEDs on my boat so I can see rod tips before good day light in the mornings.
Nice!
The hardest part was drilling holes in my boat.

Looks good. Now go on utube and build you some like this.
Looks like you hang those horizontally? When I built mine, I added internal weight so that I could drop them into the water vertically and adjust the depth (hang by the power cord)

I bought one of those submersible green lights last spring. I never had much luck night fishing with it.
I don’t like how it hangs directly under the boat. I’m going to make some sort of jib to hold the cord out away from the boat so that the light is a good 6-8 feet away from my boat.
This may not make any difference.

I'm still experimenting the night before I took that picture I tried one horizontal. Didn't seam to make a difference had plenty of bait and the garfish riped and striped every pole I had.
What brand LED did you use for the RED lights inside the boat. From what I have read that is the color to use for inside the boat. I am looking at LED strips just not sure they will hold up.
They where the 11 dollar ones on Amazon

The red are not that bright. I have a dimmer but not sure if I will really need one.

You had me reminiscing about my army days, we had three lense cover for our flashlights, red - green - clear. Red was what most of us used. When we where deployed, clear was a no-no. Red was the only one you could look at a map with, look up, and not have to wait for your eyes to re adjust.

I got some to go on my toon. Going to install when I get it back from the welding shop.
Iv never done much night fishing for crappie. I used to catfish a lot but not so much anymore. I am really looking forward in seeing how well they work down in Florida next week.
