The first two pictures above are my humble attempts at a yellow perch imitation. These were #4 hooks and I think I will likely have to switch to either a #2 hook or smaller diameter chenille to allow more wraps of the contrast color.
The jig in the first picture actually has two shades of marabou but you can only see it when they are bunched together.
I have also been wanting to come up with a good firetiger, and here is my first attempt...
