Going to try to get out for some bank fishing at Brookville this Friday. Does anyone recommend an area that is easily accessible? I have never bank fished there and only been on the lake a couple of times.
Thanks in advance for any responses

Most people who bank fish walk the shore near Fairfield ramp or the beach area.
Double check lake conditions it was froze in this area last weekend

Thanks for the info Doug. Hopefully the weather cooperates so I can give it a go.
Hopefully someone who can tell you first hand will chime in, but everything south of still iced over.
Thank you Locator. I am off work that day so I plan to head that way and check it. Worse comes to worse I just drive around and look for good spots to come back to. I will give an update on the conditions when I get there.
Can the spillway at Brookville be fished like the spillway at Monroe? Never been there, just asking.
When the East Fork of the White river floods over the dam at Williams, In, you now have the carp all the way up to its headwaters and all streams and creeks that flow into it including Salt Creek below Monroe. The entire river system now has Asian Carp in it.
I hate that but thanks for that info.
Most of the walk in accessible areas are still froze at bville. Checked it today
FF, thanks for the update. I am still holding out some hope it gives way but sure not counting on it
I ice fished it last week. 8-10 inches. There is prob 200 acres of open water but most of it is 60 to 110' deep
good fishing below Brookville dam just snag the carp and throw on bank for the raccoons to eat
Made it out on 3 Feb. Went to state park just south of fairfield, went to beach area because that water was open. Just flipped a jig with no luck. At least I got a chance to get out.
Is there a lot of ice on The lake?
Most of the lake is ice. I drove around on Friday looking for open water & some of it froze over Friday night. The water around Kent's marina was open Friday but froze back over on saturday.
Can you walk out on the docks?
No for around Kent’s. Up at whitewater possibly, I haven’t ice fished & I didn’t check the thickness when I was there
Keep us posted when Brookville becomes all open water. I want to hit it this spring for the eyes. I always catch good crappie as well.
