Good job and nice catch!!
Yes sir!
Awesome catch! Got a friend that has a cabin on Cook’s Bend and he is always wanting me to bring my boat and try the crappie there. I have never fished a river to even know where to start so I stick to Ross Barnett. Have you ever tried Bluff Lake?
You need to take your friend up on his offer. The Cooks Bend area is in the middle of some top notch river fish'n. I know several folks with places over there. Get up with me sometime and I will get you started and show you around. Bluff Lake holds some really good fish but it's kinda like Arkabutla and can be very stIngy with numbers.

I'll take you up on that in late Spring. I'm gonna go set a few trotlines for afternoon and night fun but want to catch a few crappie. We went and caught some flathead this Summer in that area and I just could not imagine spider rigging in that river or old lakes. Looked more like a place to single poles or cast a road runner..... but I would rather spider rig if I had my choice.
Late spring and summer is definitely a single pole game. The bigger fish get very scattered and the catch ratio between dinks and donkeys changes dramatically. I only spider rig over there from fall and thru the winter.
