i know somebody is fishing
We know you as well as dozens of others are lurking the last several weeks or so so we havent posted. The Question is where are YOUR reports? We know you've been out and about ;)
If I ever get the chance to go again I'll be sure to post. Good or bad. Hopefully everyone else will do the same. My boat is at a friends house while the new driveway is being poured. They don't pour concrete at 20 degrees! So we've got half a driveway and no walkways now........
Cobbler we fished Harris last week has no luck fought the wind all day
Not enough water at the end of my boat ramp. I did see some duck hunters out on the lake. Roads from High Rock to another lake not good. Saturday looks better. Hopefully I’ll get to Badin.
Snow reports down this way
i got a hair over 5" here
I hope someone is getting to fish. These single digit temp days have brought my trips to a halt for now. Suppose to be in the 60s this weekend. Maybe we will have some reports then.
The week of single digit temps and highrock being down almost 10ft at one point took the fight right out of me. YouTube has been my friend lately. Hello Spring, this is Mike....Please come quickly.
Ole BOZO the weather clown sure missed this one today. At 4am this morning he said a dusting to 1" in my area. Well, this sure is a bunch of dust!!!! nonono
Took this guy for a short boat ride today. Caught in 44 degree water temp on Norman.

Gobbler if I can make it to the boat ramp Friday I will post a report. I was going today to lkn but the roads got bad quick here with 6" snow. Come to think of it I hadn't seen you post much either. Sounds like your one of the quite ones on here then you sneak off to where we are catching fish 😀
We got a foot of snow between Bahama & Hillsborough, so I'll be web surfing for a few days.
Jim
Reel,
That looks like the day we fished Norman and had to chip the ice off the back of your boat. lol. keep those heaters running in that cab.
We have been redoing my mom and dad's old house. Thinking about moving into it. I live 50 foot from the lake and have not been fishing in over 2 months now. Bout time for a me day.

I'm marking bait and fish, in the main channel, birds looking, birds sitting, just can't seem to give them what they are looking for. The Water Temp. on Norman has been dropping by the day, the 45 degree water temp moved a 1/2 mile south of 150 bridge in 1 night. I fished from the Condos below the hot hole to the swimming area at the State Park only caught 1 Hybrid.
Water temp at rocky creek Monday was 41.7 at 8 that morning. Birds were diving and all I caught there with three other boats was white perch. Then I moved on down below 150 bridge and nothing til I got to the hot hole the water temp was 54 marked few fish then birds started working down the lake a ways and that's where I started catching fish. Caught a lot of small hybrids and white perch. Keep following the birds about another 500 yds caught 2 nice hybrids. Fished until 2:30 and only think that would bite was spotted bass and white perch. Took 12 nice white perch home and 2 spotted bass at 16" 16 1/2 " just cause they keep biting the hook

Careful. There are only a handful of people on the forum that can give a little jab, but get bent over backwards and have a hard time taking it back!
Norman has been tough lately no doubt, but they are still biting on the days one gets lucky to be on the water when theyare in feeding mode!
Haven'tbeen since the last trip
I ain't going to be playing around no more. I'm playing around all the time that's just me but I really don't want to offend anybody. I agree Pete so I'll be there tomorrow and Saturday they got to get hungry one of those two days, I hope!!

I do bank fishing and figured would try first time this week have seen tons of gulls feeding at falls lake hoping the crappie will be lurking around.
Hybrids.,,,Another day of looking and not catching on Norman. Fished from State Park to condos below Hot hole.
Lots of boat on the water didn't see but 1 fish caught and I think it was a Catfish. We worked our baits at depths from 12 foot to 30 foot marking fish and bait in and along the main channel edges our baits had to be hitting them in the head with the A-rigs/ umbrella Rigs/ stick Baits/ buck tails. We tried everything but a PBJ sandwich. A couple other successful Striper fisherman (non CDC guys) from my end of the lake have been having similar results. I'm hoping the bite turns back on soon, this not catching is getting old.
I would have rather gone fishing this weekend and struggled then to paint my house!!
Funny when i call around seeing if anyone wants to go fishing, everyone answers. When i call trying to recruit help, always goes straight to voicemail!! :D
Lol ant that the truth. Call me next time Pete I'll come and help
