Great fish Josh!
Thanks Fishers. Been a pretty incredible few days.
Now I'm really mad at my boss, making the Sunday meeting MANDATORY. I was counting on going to the Belle Starr tourney to get the chance to win the trip with you.
Cool nice fish .must of been fun finally got some beaver bottoms baits. The best colors can anyone help?
Need some help! My 8yr. old son is ready to go fishing but we don't have a boat or dock slips. So I need some good bank action suggestions. I have thought about the cove just northeast of the dam and a little cove off of Hwy 51 outside of Mannfod that someone once suggested. Any thoughts?
Anyone catching on keystone?
Going tomorrow. Anyone have word on the Stone?
We've been catching them on keystone, anywhere from 3 1/2- 15 foot deep. Some males have had slightly bloody tails. Catching on the banks, and at the docks, not right on the bank but about 20 foot out, and 4 ft down, in 6-8 FOW. Everyone has been doing pretty good at the dock in manford, left with 15 good ones Friday, couple others had the same or more. It's almost here guys!
Anyone have any pointers or reports for Keystone? I am taking my boat and my two nephews on Friday. I have never had a boat on Keystone so I’m going in blind. I will be meeting to pick them up around Mannford. I would really like to put them on some fish and look like a hero. Lol. Thanks!
If I was going to Key, I'd message Josh on fb he'd be the one to know.

This may be too late to help out trider but I agree with Lonnie84 that Josh Jones has Keystone dialed in right now. For 3 years he has tried to get me to fall in love with The Dead Sea and around the first of May I decided to finally give the lake an honest effort. Josh went to a great deal of effort to send me maps taking me from one hot spot to the next and included enough details to put me right on the fish without getting lost in the process. First day out I went alone ( because I didn’t have much confidence) and was culling fish by early afternoon. I haven’t caught fish that big this close to home ever! The next 5 trips I took to Keystone I took guys who love fishing but never really get to go- they are worse at it than I am! And every trip we all caught our limits (usually by noon) and sang my buddies praises all the way home because each time I went he gave me more locations to try and EVERY STOP PRODUCED! We fished brushpiles in coves and open water, docks of course because that’s primary cover on Keystone, bridge pilings, culverts, derricks and shoreline and caught fat healthy females popping with eggs everywhere. Even did what I never do- picked up my son Crappiefool41 after work and kept 43 bigguns in 3.5 hours. Like many successful guides Fabio stirs up his share of detractors and even a few haters I think but this is what I’ve learned about him. He is a weird guy who just loves putting people on fish-teaching people new techniques with the latest technology or using methods he learned when he was a little kid fishing with his dad. I have honey holes that I swallow hard before I share em with family but this oddball draws me maps leading me right to his! Sorry- didn’t intend to make this a JJ appreciation rant but when we run into someone this good at what he does who is this helpful maybe it’s ok to give em a little shout out. I hate slowing down to take pictures but I’ll share a few.

The picture with Claude holding up two 12” fish is deceiving. I had buried 4 fish between 1.68-1.79 lbs under 70 nice but not newsworthy crappie and I didn’t feel like digging em out for a picture. Kept this 10.78 lb buffalo to feed to one of my pets and to show my grandkids how awesome I am. Made me a believer in Viscous 6 lb test hi vis mono- man that thing was a puller!

Keep those pictures comin', Cc. And nice comments about JJ. I almost called you for advice this weekend, since we were at Skiatook, but graduation and graduation parties kept us pretty busy. We did catch at a few at Skiatook Saturday AM when fishing with a friend of the son-in-law.
Good job CC and a the nice comments on Josh Jones.
I really need to book a trip with josh to learn this garmin! Side scan has me confused, and I like weird guys, like me!
Josh got Keystone figured out for sure!
Josh took me and my son yesterday and we caught 300+ crappie. Guy is very smart and knows his equipment. We had a blast. Attachment 305419Attachment 305420

Anybody willing to give a lead on a good bank fishing spot at keyatone? I went to the salt creek bait shop and tried the dock they have and didnt get any luck. Evening there was lots of activity but had no luck. Tried various rigs and colors. Just a waste of 5 bucks lol. Had a good time sonit wasnt a total bust. I love fishing but catching a mess for the family would be great too
Is anybody willing to share coordinates to brush piles, or any crappie spots? I have access to a jon boat but no sonarand if i did i have no experience with them. But can look up spots on my phone if your willing to share some spots
Send me a pm and I will try to help you Andrew.
Pm’d. Thanks
Anyone catching any on Keystone? I have a slip at Pier 51 have been a few times this fall but havent caught any to speak of.
I bank fish alot and sandbass are still biting. Gone below the dam two times last week and there was some decent action and not many people, just 1 older asian guy i seen both times and he had both white and striped bass. I got a couple and a decent stripe using a float with (2) 1/16oz jigs. Black n chartreuse minniw mindr and black and red beaver tail. Caught them with 10’ off the rocks specifically on the edge of the current back to the rocks in the calm or swirling water. Asian guy was using a 1/8oz jig and loading his cooler
Fished Keystone for the first time yesterday. Ended with 18 over 10”. Water temp was 43F. Fish were on brush in 12 FOW. Blue/white was the color of choice.

I'm new to this forum so I'm still learning how to navigate. But we were up there over the weekend. Blue Ice was what we had the best luck on we were catching them in about 7 to 9 FOW.
Looks like a couple of dinners to me! Thanks for posting.
Yes sir you are correct. I got the slip last spring after turkey season and we got the bug. We have put alot of brush out and met a bunch of really good folks up there that have showed my family and I how to catch them crappie fishing is totally new to us. Do you have a slip up there?
Looks like you are a fast learner Stone! Nice post.
I had been catching quite a few till the rain the other day. Now Im just cooking them
Is anyone fishing the heated dock at 51? Any fish being caught? How much do they charge to fish?
I have not personally fished the heated dock but I was talking to a guy at Woody's last weekend and he was saying he hadn't done very well at the heated dock yet this year. I'm not sure on the price.
I actually talked to them thursday, they arent doing fishing (slips) anymore you would have to buy a boat slip @min of 6months. I guess they used to but no more
