FLW world headquarters is a mile from my house and I know a bunch of folks who work for them. A boat failed to show for weigh-in yesterday. Prayers that they will find the lost angler alive and well.

The bottom links shows a short video when they found what's left of the Ranger boat they were in.
I've fished in conditions that were much worse than expected. "Fished" is not the correct term. I've boated in conditions I was very uncomfortable with but it was to get back to safe harbor.
At some point somebody has to use some discretion and say "Folks, it's just too bad to fish today". I've done it several times with clients. Some were disappointed but most were relieved. I am yet to see or even hear of a fish that was worth dying for.

In sports,fishing,basball,football having sponsors,big payouts.its not about what you caught last year,They sponsors pay you today,Their thousand of want to be pros wanting to,take your place,Guide fishing.Clients are not going to set in your boat and pay you for catching nothing,Not going to happen,My Opinion.

God Bless the Apopka man that is lost. I always admired the guys that go through all that it takes to compete at that level. It's not for me but it takes a special drive and determination to make all that happen from the lower levels. I pray for his family and friends. Things can go bad so fast.
Praying the hand of God delivers this fisherman back to his family and friends.
One has been found, one still missing, The reports now saying that there was a steering malfunction that caused the capsize.
I've been keeping up with this story pretty much all day. It just doesn't sound like there is going to be a happy ending to this situation. Very sad. Prayers for the lost angler and his family have been lifted.

Prayers sent for all involved in this. Hopefully the angler that was found can shed some light on this. I've read where the wind switched and came up unexpectedly and now that there was a possible steering problem.

Thank God that one has been found and we are prayerful the other will be found. Remember to wear your "Kill switches" and life jackets folks. Also, if the weather is really bad find shelter in a cove or just trailer your boat for another day.Quote:
