North or South end?
nice mess, a few of 'em look pretty thick - I'm sure they'll taste fine
Got these on the south end...all on jigs. I've been fishing the North end but figured I'd try the south as it's closer to home

Nice!!! I usually go out of slims, did you get them in the pads or bull rush?
I put in at Slims too. Caught them just in the edge of the bullrushes out to 5 to 10 feet off the bullrushes. Basically just drove around the clumps of rushes and fished the edges and open water around the bullrushes
I’ll be down next month. Don’t catch them all.
Where is Slims? I usually put in at the big one on the Kissimmee, the name of which escapes me right now.
But you know where i mean. lol
Slims is a fish camp on the south end of the lake in Belle Glade. Nice ramps a nice cleaning station and a small
tackle shop. I think the place you're talking about is Okee Tantie the camground/marina right on the river.
Apparently it's in the works with Bass Pro taking over Okee Tantie and making it a resort similar to the one in Missouri...
Hadnt heard that, but its a shame something dosent happen there as it is a nice location and is just going to waste.Quote:

Guy Harvey was supposed to do something with it but that fell through. Now Bass Pro is supposed to pick it up. The place has a lot of potential and it would be nice to have back in operation. Sure do miss Lightsys being right there...we'd always clean a couple specks and have a fish sandwich and a beer or 2 before we left. Good times...
