You might want to check the weather forecast for this weekend. The Peoria area is expected to get about 1" of wintery mix. Fancy way of saying ice, hail, snow all rolled into one big umm storm. I can handle fishing in sub freezing temps and a snow sotrm, I can handle fishing in above freezing temps, but I can't handle fishing in an ice storm. Just count me out. I can handle a rain storm in 50plus degrees, but ice, forgetaboutit.

I used the south ramp thinking that would be the warmest water.

I went out around the east ramp for a little bit Monday after work. I was mostly checking out a new fish finder. I did fish a little but only caught short ones. It seems the bigger fish have been a lot tougher for me this year. Water was surprisingly not muddy and hadn't really came up a lot maybe a foot or so. Water temp was 44.
