Dang man. You want me to send Cagle up with pontoon. Lol
Cowboy, do you use one concrete block per tree? I've put some out before but they've moved on me after sinking. That was before hitech DI and SI though.
Wow!:yikes Dats a lot of work ! But will pay great dividends!
I use one block for the small ones that I put under docks out of the current, and one filled with concrete for in the current. I use ones filled with concrete along the river and if I drop 4-6 at a time in one spot I use five gallon buckets with concrete with an I-bolt in the top

Lee I may take you/him up on the offer, it’s hard in my pontoon, with the dump he has would make things a lot easier. I ll give you a shout when I get the blocks and concrete ready, going to work on that this week. Sill need my boat to get back so I can have my way points to go by.

Ten fo
Really looking good cowboy!
Cowboy,
What’s the purpose of the I-bolt in the top of the bigger trees in the 5 gallon buckets?
I use 14-2 electrical wire , I run through the base of trees then run through the I-bolt that is set in the concrete that has a big washer and nut on it. I only do that with multiple trees, ive had the bucket handles rip off in the past, this way I have no problem. I’ll post a pic when I have some made up. Also you can run rebar through the sides around the bottom and make what looks like a big treble hook to help hold in strong current.

Thanks for all your hard work James. Please don't put any out in the area I fish, every time I fish them while spider rigging I stay hung up in them. They really do help the young fish by having a good place to hide and grow big. Everyone stay safe in this terrible cold weather. :fish
Ten four Roger. Most are going down the lake. But going to add a few stake beds around where you fish once I get my boat back.

Good going James. Looks like a lot of work that will pay off in the long run.
Cowboy,
I think i know what you are saying. I would GREATLY appreciate if you posted pics of the final product. I just learned the hard way about having my 5 gallon buckets with hardwood in them flip over. I will for sure be using rebar next time!!!
When you use rebar do you just drill a few holes in the bottom of the bucket, insert the rebar and lay the concrete and trees on top??
Way to go buddy. I plan on doing a few myself but nothing like you doing. That's a lot of work

That's a mass production project there for sure! Awesome job of collecting up trees. Now the fun begins.
