To cold for some, but
Afternoon all, Why do the weather men /women even try, They said 10 to 15 mph wind with just to 30,First picture is what the water looked like when I got to the lake,,, second picture is what the purple/chartruse Slabbuster and the mid south glow chartruse caught, Went solo today, It was a great day on the water, cold, calm day, only one other crazy boat out there, They never caught a fish and they was 10 ft from me, only had two short fish the rest were all over 11in, and 3 of them over `13 in, gonna be some good eating. now for the petulicars, fish were in 25 ft of water, the water was 44 dg, light wind, no sun, plenty of shad but you had to work the outer edge of the shad, If you dropped in the middle of the shad ball no bite, toss out let fall to bottom, come up slow hold it for a few seconds, (thanks Rick Flint.) and pow your rod tip might move, or just twitch a bit, don't think just set the hook, On heck of a good day.

I was out there to. I put in at Ruark and there was a few others there. Had really good luck. Just a few shorts and 12 keepers. I was in 25 feet of water of brushpiles just ticking the tops of em. Orange/Chartreuse slabbusters. I’ve never fished over suspended shad. Sounds like I should be. Work slowed and this was the first time I’d been out in about 5 months.

you did well siscokid, it was a good day to be on the water, Twin bridges can be awesome in the winter time, especially on the bluffs, there not big bluffs but the fish like em. and how bout them Slabbusters, good a jig as ever made. My favorite purple/chartruse slabbuster
