That Richard Gene the fishing machine can catch fish in a bath tub. 90% of the time his jig is a BGBS in just a few colors. He makes it look simple. "Go fishin when ya can, cause it's good fer ya!"

Yeah he seems like a straight up kind of guy, and he can flat catch um!! Makes it look easy.
He sure makes fishing fun! I like that he keeps it simple and still surpasses most with all their gadgets! If he could ever get Elmo some marriage counseling....maybe Elmo could make a trip with him! Lol
My all time favorite YouTube channel!
A wealth of information, and has a blast doing it.
Looking forward to his next vid.:fish
He needs to join Crappie.com!
He’s great! I love the one where he’s fishing for golden shiners on ultra lights tackle.
He’s a goofy ol guy, but he’s probably forgotten more about catching crappie than many of us will ever know.

where you think he gets all his knowledge (lol) jk
he can do it no doubt but it takes many hours of fishing sometimes many trips to record a 30 min video

Never heard of him.
Don't know if I will stay long on here.
I've got enough fishermen in my life that talk down to me and and expect to be worshipped.
Not meaning to offend.
I just don't idol worship a persons title or rank.
If someone has something to share great.
I just don't have use for others who abuse their title no matter who they are.
And I thought I was the only one watching a super crappie fisherman from Alabama. I really get a kick out of his videos. Unfortunately, his environment is completely different than mine here in Central Texas but I watch his techniques and apply what works for me. I also get my next level of catching from this forum. You fellows have lots of experience and do not seem to mind sharing. Thanks!

You won't get any of that from Cane Pole. And if you get any from any other member, just report it to a SuperMod or Slab & it will be dealt with accordingly.
And just for what it's worth .... I'd never heard of the guy before, either. Not until his name & videos started showing up on posts.
I actually on found him in September but he's now given me some tips that have helped me. That's why he's my favorite YouTube fisherman. You should check out his channel. He fishes Weiss and Guntersvile Lakes. Ive seen a few talk about fishing there.
And I didn't mean to offend with that post.
Just speaking from experience.
My step dad and his friends think their fishing royalty.
And if you don't fish like them you're ridiculed for it.
I don't have cable so I watch a lot of crappie fisherman on YouTube.3 pound is another good one to share helpful info about his success..He lives in the Midwest like me so his fishing Weather is very similar to mine..I just try to learn all that I can and improve my fishing tactics.
YES he is.Thats how I found his videos.
I hereby volunteer to belittle anyone who needs to be humbled.
Now fall down and worship me, ya bunch of pansies! Y'all couldn't catch a cold.

I don't know 3 pound either. I just stated I didn't know them. Nothing was implied. I know Wally Marshall. I know Tim Huffman. I know Ronnie Capps. I know Richard Williams. I know Billbob. I know Slab. I know G. I know D. I know Wilbur. AND they all know me. Nothing implied here either. Just facts. I know I am tired of typing already.
A cold???
You stole my line.
I always use that on my step dad when he goes into seminar mode.
They went fishing one day and came back with a stick in their bucket.
I pulled it out and said nice tree bass. You getting it mounted.
One dude was told he catches fish already minced and breaded, so I'm gonna mount some Gordon's fish and give it to him.
I have been watching his videos a while...recently subscribing to his channel. He is a multi-specie guy...I am a multi-specie guy. He sometimes uses UL tackle and line....I am an avid UL angler. I watch a lot of YouTube videos. What I find amazing about his channel is the number of subscribers...almost 12,000 in a little over a year...almost 2 million views of his videos in the same period. He uses a single camera....many doing videos have several cameras and do not have the views he has. The guy seems like he is a few hertz shy of 60....LOL. But I think that is for show. His videos are very simple and lots of action. I have seen....and known, a lot of good fisherman attempt to go the YouTube route. For whatever reason it did not work out. I purchased a camera several years back and was going to do some fishing videos....but I found out quick I did not want to take the time to edit them. He does a good job at editing....at least in my opinion. There is no doubt his videos attract views...we will see how big his channel gets. I fish a lot....but I think he outdoes me and he is still working...LOL. Of course he lives close to a great body of water also.
Regards

The Fishing Machine is mighty fun to watch, and quite informative.
That Elmo really needs to get His act together, no doubt about.
He's letting some nice ones get away, fer sure!
Perhaps the most appealing attribute that Richard Gene seems to possess is his humility. He continually gives credit and extends appreciation to all who subscribe, make comments, send prototype jigs, etc. One of his most common phrases is given after he voices an opinion, when he says "in my opinion". He does not seem the least interested in receiving recognition, or credit. He shares his bounty with several less fortunate anglers and gives information on depth and color without being asked. His humility is something we should all emulate. For now he is a complete departure from what so many "sportsmen" become with success, either in the field , or on the internet; let's hope he stays so.
