Nice catch
Great catch & a lots of fun.
Way to catch them
I hear folks talking about them being good to eat. We caught a few white bass while crappie fishing that were pound and a half
to two pound. My fishing buddy wanted to try them so we kept and filleted four of them. He took them home and his wife tried
baking them. They couldn't eat them and thought they were going to have to sell their house the smell was so bad. We cut out
all the red meat. I read somewhere that the folks up north that eat them on a regular basis just eat the top half of the filet.
Where did we go wrong?
In water or salt water?
Trying taking that skim of red meat off the top of the fillet and then cut that little red streak out of the middle of the fillet. Then soak them in salt water for 24. Pretty white meat
