I’ve given up on some other sites that were about interests of mine but were never moderated like Crappie.com and were out of control much of the time. I don’t need that in my busy life.

I tell folks all the time how thankful I am for Ed’s vision and for the dozens, maybe hundreds of friends I have met because of Crappie.com.

BINGO, Doug is a winner. It's not me, it's you! It's the members and in particular it's the moderators that keep this site clean. I can add one thing that I will take credit for and it is the vision of having a clean site. And there's someone special I want to thank for keeping me on the straight and narrow. There was a time where I was going to give up keeping it clean (one particular state forum got out of hand), and this one guy who goes by the handle "G" (you may know him), talked me down off that ledge. So thanks go out to all the members, all the moderators, and all the supermods, that keep this site on the "straight and narrow". And thank the Lord.


I want to add; anyone and everyone can help actively to keep it on the "straight and narrow" simply with a PM to any of the mods about any post that goes off course. Additionally, there is a "Report Post" triangle under every post where you can click it and report "bad" posts.

I hadn't thought about it that way, but you're right. I always thought this place was similar to a coffee shop atmosphere with people sitting down around a huge table conversing on different subjects. Logging out was like heading off to work/logging in like coming in the door.....with conversations continuing from where one left off.

Anyway you look at it, this is by far one of the best communities I have had the pleasure of being a part of.
