You might give gold and purple a try also. Use gold crystal chenille with purple hackle or marabou tail. Head color can be plain or whatever you like. Chartreuse, black, purple, whatever. Good in several water conditions.

Me too until I started tying. Now I only keep some Sliders on hand, the rest is what I whip up. Main thing is we're both catching fish and having fun.

I tied for long time, I think we all do or most of us dabble at it, I never was very good at it, Then I met Jack, and the rest is purple history.

Them things look cold for sure...they need a warming up, like a bacon wrap, then put in a warm oven for about 45 min. or so. Warm like 350 degrees, hahaha.
