Took my daughter fishing a she caught a whopper.

Woke up Saturday morning around 7:00 to my youngest daughter standing there in my face. Daddy let’s go fishing. So you guys know me I jumped up and hooked the boat and off we went. After getting gas and a Chick-fil-A stop off we went. Took our time getting to the lakeAttachment 281112. Found some on the humminbird around 30’ 16-18’ down and started there. Picked away at them all day. I saw the rod twitch and line go slack on her side and before I could say anything she snatched the rod. I could tell it was a big fish. Got the other rods out of the way. Loosened her drag and let her have fun with it. As you can tell by the picture her face tells the story. Released this fish and a few more. Anything over 1.4 lbs went back. Attachment 281113

We should have a father/daughter/son tournament one day. There are some pretty good fishermen on here with children that could compete. You, Shane and Kevin all have young ones that are young competitors. Redboat has a daughter that would probably compete.

Yes we should. That would be fun. No matter what age the kids are. Parents could just net the fish and not set the hook or fight it.

The church tournament always welcomes parent/child participation with a special division. We pay $50 extra for the highest finishing parent/child team. With those Newly, you would get the big money. Good to see family fun on the lake!
