A few years ago, I snapped the ends off of 3 different 11' Sam Heatons. These were broken from hook sets.
I went back with the BGJP'S in 12'. Excellent switch for me.

I bought a Mitchel 9' combo at Walmart. I like it, but I'm not a pro at crappie
B&M Custom, 10' rear reel seat. Took a little getting used to the rear seat, but now I really like it. With the rear seat, you can keep the line in your off hand, to feel the jig, like fly fishing......
Tried it with a small spinner, but too butt heavy. Use a little Bano reel, just the right balance!
My two cents.... But I like cane poles too, so......:fish
I like the 10 ft Sam Heston for weight and sensitivity but got a 10 ft duck commander and really like it for the back bone. Tiny bit heavier but not enough to matter. Fish it now until arm gets tired then back to Sam Heaton.
12 foot B& M ultra light rear seat touch best pole IMO
Pro angler rods ! Great back bone and very sensitive!
Ain’t you glad you asked?:Rofl I use the BGJP in 8’, 11’, and 12’, depending on my mood. Honestly, the 8’ usually is in my hand.
Fishing Majician.....When they biting they biting. :biggrin
Thanks for all the response. Interesting topic.
I like the 10 FT Bucks ultra lite. Can't believe how much a difference the weight makes. I can't hardly even hold my other poles now. And love these reels. The smaller one I like best.

Sam Heaton 11' rear seat for me. I have an 11' bucks custom and its nice but the weight difference is noticeable when holding two poles.

Most will say nay.But I like the BNM 10' west point.Works well for me.
I'll throw in the oddball. Grizzly Jig Elite in 12'. I went to the Elite after breaking 3 of another make. Have tried a few other makes and models but the Elite fits me and I've never broken one. Been fishing them for around 20 years.
HT Jiggin Stick, (JSG102) I have fished about all of them and I always go back to the HT Jiggin Stick. Grizzly Jig Company has the best price on them.
BPS's new ultra light 12' jigging pole has them all beat. Super light with a great feel. I own the Bucks ultra light and the Sam Heaton. My thoughts only.
I've got the rear and regular seat Sam Heaton in 10 and11'. I also have a b&m gold. I like em all but if I had to pick it would be the 10ft rear seat Sam Heaton. I'm partial to a cork handle instead of Eva try to look at a few and find one that feels good to you. Ask 10 people this question and your liable get 10 different answers.
