Windy weekend to feesh

What do you do when it's too windy to feesh any of the big 4? You go to a river and hunker down behind a wind break. Attachment 280522 y'all don't bust my chops about the couple or three 'tater chips at the far end of the table, I normally cull with an 11" minimum. Those were of legal length to keep and had swallowed the hook and were gonna die. Didn't want to waste them. Probably caught 25 or more between 9"-11" altogether. Attachment 280523gonna enjoy eating these, fish caught from running water just tastes better to me.

Yep. I think only 2 specks. Funny thing most of them came tight off of timber. I kinda thought more specks would've been caught that way. You never know.

They were tight to cover 17'-18' deep in 19-25 FOW. A dang big change from the pattern I was on at the northern lakes.

Nice catch, that wind on the river can be challenging at times especially when it can't decide which way it want to blow from.
