I had to look up Glamper to get it.
While I know you’re teasing me, I do have to say I paid my dues in the swamps and woods of the UP.
Sitting on a stump using cedar, pine and balsam boughs stuck in knee deep snow to break up my outline, I would have never thought of being in a warm dry blind as I am this morning using a smart phone while gazing out double pane windows at a cut over soybean field.
I hunted 14 days straight in 1983 to get this nasty looking buck in conditions I explained above, yet this set of horns has as much special meaning to me as the 150 CBM does hanging in my living room.
Do I want venison? Sure, but I am enjoying these extra comforts never before having.....if I get one fine, icing on a already delicious cake.

When I was younger it often snowed in October.
I spent many a year in a treestand freezing my butt off.
Now that I am older, well “Glunting” doesn’t seem so terribly bad...... lol
I have yet to see a deer this AM, but my phone buzzing from your post woke me up.......
It may be primitive compared to your clamping, but I’m comfortable.
I have 10 Gram Protien bars, and some French cut green beans to warm up on the heater.......

I was in my underwear hunting this morning. I didn't even get cold or break a sweat coming out.
For me, I am a bow hunter. I never much cared for gun hunting. Especially after I left the Marines.

Rich you pretty much nailed it, this glorified deer blind is more for me to get the grandkids out than anything. They’ve already expressed their interest in sitting out in the deer blind with Papa.....that makes it worth it.
Making sure we have heat, can cook out here to make it extra fun if they want to.

It’s been raining here for a bit, nothing heavy.
I seen one tree rat and that’s it.
2 shots kinda close by, neighbor kid proclaiming on FB BBD, but he does that over a 6 pt. I’m guessing that’s one of the shots I heard.
What’s the old saying....the trick to being good is to not act like it’s not your first time in the end zone....he could apply that to hunting.

How long is y'alls deer season, about 2 weeks?
Our gun season opens Saturday and runs through Feb 10. Supposed to rain Sat, I may sleep in.
Depends on season.
Archery season starts October 1st and goes until Jan 1st.
General Firearm Season is November 15th to the last day of November.
There are various hunts in between, like the youth hunt, and early Doe season, etc.
The early season & special hunts are of much debate, depending on who you are of course.

My emergency bucket has a seat and lid. It is now relegated to the porch. Plastic bags work great though. View was nice but it wasn't a hangout location.
Still no rain. Yet
Abby and Brian are now at each other like cats and dogs. Threats of stuffing one or both into the fart sack whilst beating it with a broom handle has been handed out.
Still 10lbs of homemade jerky to eat, cheese, crackers, doughnuts, sandwiches, and various other snacks to eat. Life is good.Attachment 280288
