Outstanding food!!! Certainly too much. The black iron cooking was fantastic. Chili was great Friday, no it did not melt the bowls like I heard it would. ls was nice to see fish, since I haven't been much this year. You guys are a great bunch. Mae and I had a grand time and will be more prepared next time. So nice to see a few familiar friends and meet so many new ones. You guys did a nice raffle for a good cause. Most I've seen raised at an event. Besides thanking you Ky guys and gals, wanna shout out to my friend Slab. Who knew when you started all this........Thanks!!!
Thanks to all that had a part putting this on ,all you guy/gals behind the scenes done such a great job! Thanks to all the ones that brought supplies ,donated items ,cooked food and sacrificed their time! . It was all wonderful .It was great to make new friends. We calculated yesterday afternoon that 82 people from 11 states were represented this weekend! We were battling colder weather and the opening weekend of deer rifle season, or we probably would had blown 100 out of the water!
It was great to meet so many folks, and catch up with one's that I had met before. To all of our visitors, thank you and may you all have safe journey's back home!!

David, it was so good to have our Buddies from MS here for the ShinDig. The cold weather we could have all done without. Thanks for helping me twist Mitch's arm to get he and Sherrie here for the event. All of us locally and regionally knew what a crazy bunch of crappie chasers we have here. The whole nation knows now. Throw Chaunc into our group also. He's as much a part of our KY bunch as he is PA.
We counted 11 different states represented.
We met as a group while cleaning up and talked about the event. It came together because of a lot of hard work and the fact nobody was the boss. We all split the work and credit for a great event because it took a group effort.
You are always welcome here. Cray may have to get a permit next time.
See you guys in the Spring and Crankfest.

I had a great first timer at the shindig. What a great group of folks. Sinkermaker and I got home safely. Thanks for all who attended, those who worked so hard to get this together, but most of all, thanks to God for keeping us all safe and ontrack with our coming and going. Guess I'm the new member of the gaspergou crew

G, it was a pleasure seeing you and the crew again. The shin digs are so great, I don't mind spending almost half a day on the road to get to them. It was great meeting all the new friends this year and I'm looking forward to seeing even more next time. Gonna take me over seventeen hours on the road to get to the crank fest, but I'll be there next year, God willing. Hope everyone had as good a time as I did. I'm Crappie.com proud. I just wanted to say thanks to all involved for putting this on and also thanks to Ifish for inviting me. We had a good time and enjoyed some great food. We (my son and I) left inspired to try new techniques that we learned there. Already looking forward to the next one! I caught a few after leaving.
