Don't keep up with Conway that much, but if you ever come to NW Arkansas drop me a private message, and I will try to help you some. Welcome to crappie.Com.
I launch from the AGFC Lawrence landing public access, the trails are well marked and just a hop skip and a jump to anywhere on the lake. Lawrence landing is located about mid lake so going from there your options are endless. I have never had any problems launching from there and it is a good ramp. Jigs and minnows work best for the crappie. Check out Bates Field and Stream they have both Live and artificial Bait. Good selection of Jigs and lead Heads.
Just Keep in mind Conway is low on water right now and anywhere you go there is a potential for damage to Boat, motor, trolling motor and gear. Not saying this to be discouraging, just realistic.
I can attest to what he said, go very slow even in the boat lanes, and if you get off them be prepared to get hung on a stump. I’m still learning the crappie there, but your best bet are the bait shops. They can point you in the right direction to get you started.
Thanks for all of the information. I just want to get back to crappie fishing now that I am retired.
