Getting old real fast

Well picked my boat up from shop around 2:00 , on the water by 3:00 , back at shop by 4:00. Why O why did I have to buy the one p.o.s. terrova that minn kota let slide by quality control, if they even have such a thing. Shop put a new drive board in it, still only turns when it feels like it. With these many problems and in the shop for the fourth time in a year, is it to much to ask for a new one. Well for minn kota it is, they keep putting bandaids on a artery that keeps pumping blood and hoping that will fix the problem, what a joke. Have talked to minn kota reps to try to get some satisfaction, and get nothing but the run around. Seriously getting down to having to fill a breach of warranty claim, I've lost all faith in my unit to preform as it should.

Excuse me! Those sob,s are not cheap! Hence I don't have one. Good luck with the friggers

Man, I'd be beyond PO'd. I can understand getting a lemon. Regardless of how good QC is with ANY company, a bad (insert whatever gizmo you want) is going to get made, BUT there's no excuse for them to not exchange that unit out since you've had it in the shop 4 times. That's just piss poor customer service. I own a business, a repair shop to be exact and occasionally we screw up. When we do, we go overboard to make it right with the customer. That's what all businesses should do. If I were in your shoes, I'd get a lawyer to send them a letter.

Exactly.i dont agree with the customer is always right all the time.but in your case its obvious that you are.

Sure hate to hear about all the bad luck Cowboy! I fought with an I pilot for 2yrs before I gave up sold it and went back to my old cable drive. No regrets.

I know it’s ruff being boatless it’s sad that it’s been in the shop 4 times and still not fixed .you would think as much good hype they have about their product that they would just replace it. And use the broken one as an experiment to see what’s happening. I sure hope you get this issue resolved you got a tourney coming up hope you ant down the creek without a trolling motor! I guess when you sell enough product you become arrogant and think one person does not matter. Its not their hard earned money spent on a motor that you expect to work properly. The problem is the bottom line is more important than you and that is sad. I would seek legal counsel. Your stuck with a motor that won't work and you can't get repaired. I hope you get this worked out. James I have a 24 volt 80 lb thrust motor guide that you can borrow if you need it. It is hand control. Been in my garage for a couple of years. Guess it still works. Was gonna sell it but have not gotten around to it

Wow, sorry to hear about all the troubles with the trolling motor. I still use the old cable steer because I have wondered many times about folks having trouble like what you are having. Hope it is worked out to your satisfaction soon. Good luck.

I would hit their Facebook and Twitter account with your issues. Social media will get their attention. I have had one for many years and love it. Seems like you may have got a lemon. Good luck.

Thanks for the support guys, hope you all never have to go though this b. s. Looks like there my be a silver lining after all, been in contact with an attorney, now we put a little pressure on them.

Hope they get it figured out and make things right for u, that would be frustrating for sure, I put that fortrex on mine and keep wanting to get one with ipilot or but can't make myself pull the trigger.

:highfive I've never sued anyone nor ever been in court other than in a jury box. Having said that, I've sent a few lawyer letters to folks

My boat has been in the shop for a total of 27 day not including a week I had the boat here waiting on a new foot control to come in.
