I'm heading down there this weekend to give it a shot. Water temp 'estimated' at 73 degrees
Fished last Friday morning and picked up 13 keepers by lunch. Didn't find many stacked up. Mostly around brush piles. Water temp was 73,74. Probably cooler now a couple degrees. Water was fairly clear.
Called LTL - they said the Crappie are biting

Hey Thunder, I have had that same feeling in that place and chose to do my business at Ingram's! Good people. Sorry that happened.
Does Ingram’s have that double boat ramp or is that whipperwills?

Hey John Doe, see you retired USAF. What career field were you in. I was an acft mech on Buff's, 135's and C-130's from 82 to 2004. Thanx for your service!
B-52 guy thank you for yours to. I think I will wait till later to try Talquin
I was a 462 for ten years then cross trained. I prepped bombs, chaff, and flares for B-52’s for DESERT STORM. Was stationed at Carswell

There was a boat accident on Talquin today. 2 boats collided and a little boy was ejected from one of them. There is a search going on with helicopters and other resources. It doesn’t look good. You might pray for the family

Prayers lifted up for all involved
Prayers for the young man and all of his friends and family
WCTV said it was a "miscommunication," that caused the accident? Showed one of the boats on the evening news. Anyone got details that were there?
Did they find the boy on Talquin? Hope they found him alright:pray
I was there. I spoke with the man and the boy when we put in at LTL. I spoke with the man after the accident at the scene. I was confused seeing he was just sitting in the boat not fishing. The other boat wasn’t there either. I asked if he was alright and he replied he was involved in a collision. He said the other guy just hit him. He said he tried to avoid the other boat and he thought the other guy was trying to do the same. He said he was “waiting” for his nephew, which I assumed meant someone was coming to help him. I did not realize it was the same man I spoke with earlier. Soon, Florida authorizes we’re on the scene. It really is bothering me. I spoke with that cute little boy just a couple hours earlier.

I spoke with a friend down at Lake Talquin today. As of lunch time, they still have not found the 10 year old. The local TV stations website showed a pic of a Stratus with front end damage. It appeared to be a bass fishing boat just by looking at the "Butt" seat in the front, the type of trolling motor and no rod holders. I have heard 2-3 different stories of what "may" have happened but I am not sure just exactly what happened...Prayers sent up to all involved!!:pray:pray:pray
Hope it all works out. I was once very nearly ran over by a boat that was running fast in a no wake zone. Now I give way no mater who had the right of way on the water. JC
