Well, I did make it, started out slow and went down hill from there.
Wind was a pain all day, water temp was 65, little stain.
I'm new to crappie fishing, but did throw/bounce Wally jigs for 3 hours, lost about hand full, that's OK but retying 2 and 4 lb. line is a real challenge.
Only saw one person crappie fishing and one family cat fishing in the mouth of Collin Branch Creek all day.
Came home with 4 nice keeper bass, for a trip form day light till 5:30..
As someone said -- "I'll be back":fish

For the lack of fisherman on the lake I obviously did not get the memo in time. Fishing was way off for me. I could not get to fish the places I wanted trying to hide from the wind. Had fun but still disappointed
We fished Friday from early till 2:15. We found some fish around several trash piles along the channel. We started around Lincoln pinch and wound up just before Collins branch. In the pictures of brothers in law holding fish......Collins's branch is in the background. We used 1/16 litewirehooks hooks with # 5 lead to get to the fish. We caught few in deeper water but they were white crappie and smaller. Most fish came from 18-24 foot of water. Over trash we were catching fish.....no trash and we were fishing.

Don't look like the high pressure effected the catching too bad. Nice catch my friend!
