You can if if has a maintenance feature like the digital chargers do. I charge mine fully and unplug it. I top them off every now and then, or the day before I go fishing. I don’t like leaving mine on.

My MinnKota 345 and 230 are left plugged up from the time the boat is backed into the garage until it leaves again.
The digital Minn Kota’s have the maintainer built in them. If they short out internally they can create a fire. I charge and unplug in a night or two.

I have been charging mine and turning it off when charged . I didn't know if it was good to charge again the day before I go out .

[QUOTE=BigRiverMarine;3501800]The digital Minn Kota
I wouldn't mind if that happened. I'm insured.
have digital that goes to maintenance mode once charged and supposed to just keep it on. don't use TM much so just started to leave it in condo and only take it down when going to use it.
If your charger goes into maintenance / float mode you are in good shape. Have not thought about it but I have 5 batteries currently plugged into chargers with two boats.
My Minnkota stays plugged in..when the boat is in the barn
