Iv been getting some stuff together also. Put a new FLX28 in the herd for this year.

What kinda line you run on those tip-downs?
Last year I ran Cajun red thinking I would see it better, This year I am going with some kind of tip up line with a leader 2 ft. of Cajun 4# test. I run Cajun on most of my jig poles

You have to when you take the grandkids out you need to of everything
The past two years, we haven't had much ice in Pa. I hope its cold enough to make ice so I can go out and play.

You will love your 28. I got one for my son and after trying it I had to get one to. Great video. Won't be long. Heading to south Dakota in just over a month.
I'm envious. We probably won't have ice until January, if any at all.

I got out just once last year, just never felt we had safe ice. Hoping for better ice this year.
Have started getting my stuff in order, and planning on heading up to Michigan's UP for a weekend.
