Gonna have to start wearing a football helmet to fish! One jumped in the boat with us a couple weeks ago at Reelfoot. Hit the back of my seat and scared the crap out of Sadie.
If there is any consolation at all, I have heard from a buddy of mine that they make great cut bait for catfish.

Had one jump clean across the front of my boat last week at the foot on the way out to fish, he looked to be ten or fifteen pounds or more could seriously hurt someone if you got hit in the head. I have noticed they are starting to jump a lot more lately...
this is the reason i do not get on reelfoot anymore. nowadays i see them just even when trolling out in the main lake on KY lake as well. they are so frustrating
