Southern Crappie Rods or ACC Crappie Stix are both very good rods IMO.

Southern crappie are the way to go.
I'm real happy with my 14ft Southern Crappie rods. But I started with these and have nothing to compare them too.
I started w telescoping rods and some Wally Marshall rods. Switched to SCR and I'm happy with them. It helped to have all the same type of rod so I could see the same bend on each.

Some rods are rated to handle more weight than others thus the different bend. Many will give the advice buy 1 time vs what quite a few of us did and spend too much on rods w retired.

You won't be disappointed with the Southerns.
you want go wrong with southern. Plus Ed is a great guy to do business with
Ed offers his Southern Crappie Rods in 2 weights of action in both 12 & 14 footers and soon 16 footers. The SCR line is what most spider riggers and long liners are using. They have a very sensitive tip, slow to medium tip action, and Kevlar backbone for lifting big crappie over the side.
The SCR12T&14T are rated for 2 ounces of added weight but will handle 4 oz of weight easily. They have a fast tip and heavy action that is perfect for pushing or pulling cranks or power trolling.

I have Southern Crappie Rods. 14 footers, 4 of the regular and 4 of the heavier models. First ones I have ever had so I have nothing to compare them to. Ed Duke is top notch. He usually keeps tips in stock. I broke one of mine trying to plug in my battery charger and he replaced it pronto.
