I did a poor job of measuring, as I was trying to get it back in the water. It was roughly between 16"-17" (TARP requirements is 14"). The weight was 1.86 on my scale. Not a monster like Mississippi crappie, but a trophy for this lake.

sometimes crappie fish get big but don't weigh much , that is an old timer crappie for sure .....congrats congrats
btw what is TARP ?

I hope you stuffed some Minnows down the hat fishes neck before the release. He needed a square meal! Nice catch.
