Think they w/o be comparable to the poles they already sell

I thought Jack mentioned something about it at the ACT at Sardis and don't remember thinking it was harsh.
Ok. Waiting to see. Not going to wait too long though, I'll pull the trigger on those Denalis John suggested.
Those new bnm poles, and the Denali are really two different animals. Ive fished from 1/4-2.5 ounces on my Denali 16', I was thinking the new bnm were designed just for power trolling?

Denali can handle 3 oz can't it?

You're welcome. If you are disappointed in them I'll give you your money back.
I've never gone heavier than two ounce with two 1/4 ounce jig heads ... haven't wanted to yet. lol

I have been able to fish with the new B & M Pow-R-Troller 3 times now. They are great for pushing cranks, and power trolling with heavy weights. I think they would be great for pulling cranks, they are just not offered in shorter lengths right now.
My feelings right now is that I will still use my BGJP's in the spring when fishing 1/2 oz or less weight. I have no experience with them with 1/4 to 1/2 oz weight at this time, they maybe ok, but right now I think they will be a little stiff for what I want when fishing in winter and spring when the bite is sometimes difficult to detect. I have B n M BGJPs, Capps & Colemans, PST's and I'm waiting on the new Pow-R-Trollers. I have also owned SCRs. I do not have experience with other companies rods besides the ones mentioned, so I will not offer opinions on them.
If you are looking at just one rod to fish year around, early spring, power troll, pull cranks and plan on B n M's, I would go with PST's. The Pow-R-Trollers feel a little stiff to be an all around rod, I may change my opinion after I get to try them more. This is just my opinion, there are lots of great options available. I just started out with B n M and like that they support our sport and do things to involve youth in the sport, so I have not had a reason to change brands.
I like my BnM's.....they were the first major sponsor of this site and have been here for us since the beginning.

The power Troller will be just that for power trolling with heavy weights I think they are only available in 18 ft length

I talked to Kent a few days ago, the rods have reached the US but they are delayed because of the tragedies happening in the Houston, TX area. The rods were shipped into ports hit by Harvey.
G is correct about the lengths, I hope B n M will consider offering some shorter options in the future. I would like to have a set for pulling cranks.
I feel your pain G! I fished with 18's and fell in love with the distance that you could get cranks in front of boat plus the total footprint of water that you can cover. I'm currently using 16' PST's. I probably lose 2' to 3' of length due to pole bend. I didn't lose any length with the Pow-R-Trollers. My wife fishes with me a lot and she is probably not going to be happy about 18' poles. I have a set of 16' and a set of 18' poles heading to Mack's Prairie Wings as soon as they get shipped out of Texas. I may have to take out a second mortgage. Haha!
Not what I heard from some of the prostaff

That's the retail price list. You can buy the 16' pro staff for less than $50. The power troller price was almost the same on the retail price list so I would think they would be around $50.

This is what was sent to B n M dealers. Lengths are listed at the bottom of the email. I did a little copy and paste with the email to trim folks email addresses out! Lol!
New B n M rods are being shipped to retail locations, started shipping yesterday.
Saw a face book post from Grizzly last night that they have them in stock.
Mack's Prairie Wings received theirs yesterday!
Picked mine up today at Mack's PW. Glad to have gift cards from Christmas! Lol!
Nice!! I need more rods like I need a tumor, but spect I have me a set of them before next spring. Good gift card buy, last one I got I spent on planer boards and was fine by me. Kind of forgot winter was coming and a new pair hunting boots would have been nice.. :dono
I'm the same as you, I used John's prototypes on 3 different occasions and I was sold on them. I had planned to sell the PST's that I power troll with, I have 2 folks that want them but I'm about to back out on selling them. I think I have a problem and need counseling! Haha! I have more fishing equipment that I can use now.
Maybe crappie.com can start a help group. Lol! They may already have one called the classifieds. The only problem with the classifieds is I look to see what's for sale and I don't sell anything. You never know when you may need the stuff again.
