Aluminum trailer

Insurance totaled my 2016 venture trailer.
Someone could repair it cheap and have a nice trailer.

I'm not aware of what happened to your trailer. I know some folks have been leery of the aluminum trailers in heavy use.

My Excel was supposed to come with an aluminum trailer but I wanted swing-away tongue so I ordered steel tube. My next boat will have aluminum trailer.

Aluminum wheel?

Early this spring after I was finally able to get back into the boat after knee replacement, I went to get my trailer in the parking lot at the marina I use. What made me notice I have zero idea but somebody had backed into my trailer, front fender driver side. The fender was bent all the way into the tire. Had I driven it, I feel sure I would have destroyed the tire. Bead area of the wheel was not even scratched. I bent the fender out then fixed it as best I could later.

Right before I drove my rig down to the Crankfest, I noticed a slight vibration on the trailer and went in to have the trailer wheels balanced. Ends up the wheel where the trailer was damaged was bent BAD. I had to put my spare down to make the MS trip and have a new wheel ordered. Mine are steel wheels but I feel if I hadn't found out about the bent wheel, I might have had real problems.

So the bead blew off a wheel & they totaled it?

The force bent the outside rail 1/8 inch. If some one has a port a power you can push it back

1/8 " aint nothing. I bet there is more to it than that. The tolerance is probably 1/4" on the trailer. Post some pics of the damage I might be interested. Venture is a decent trailer.
