With school starting up soon, and very close to opening up his new clinic, he's busy. He had a nice cement slab poured in front of the new clinic instead of limestone laid. That set him back because the parish now requires cement in front of a business for some reason, and it's not like it's in the city. Apparently folks like to park on cement with painted lines. The folks in Lafayette parish who make decisions on such things live in subdivisions.

You're right, do know that. Had cement on the brain, writing a proposal to the board of regents for a new cement/barrier lab requesting funds for research equipment, etc. Get yourself some calcium carbonate (CaCO3, "crushed limestone") and heat it to roughly 1500F for a while, then produce "quicklime" and CO2, etc. Then go about your business to finish the product. Add some aggregate, then subdivision driveways and Walmart parking lots are ready to go.Quote:
