I'm looking for the green fish gauge that is about 12 inches long. I found one awhile back but have lost it. It's about $20.00. Thank you in advance.

Are you thinking about the Grip-n-Check :

Or something like the Hawg Trough measuring board :

Yes sir, that is the one. I certainly thank you for taking the time to answer. Best of luck to you sir.
Sorry I didn't mention it was the grip and check.
I think bought mine at wal-Mart near Truman lake. Might try your local store or wal-mart online.
Checked several places and they were either sold out or not listed .
But, I did find this : https://www.catfishconnection.com/St...OVATIONS-GRIP/
They also have a website ... but, it doesn't appear as though they can be bought though the website ... just lists stores that carry the product, and none are listed as being in Texas. ( Grip N Check a great way to measure your fish like Crappie )
I've seen the Frabill "holster" style fish measuring device in Wal-marts & other local outlets ... but, don't remember seeing the "Grip-n-Check" there or my local "big box" outlets (Sportsmans Whse - Cabelas - Dicks Sporting Goods) or my local bait shops. I have the Frabill device, but rarely use it. I generally use the Golden Rule board, since that's the same device that our KDFWR officers use.
be careful with that one, sometimes a good Crappie won't fit well and doesn't go all the way to the bottom. People have been known to be caught with short fish because of it. The CO, will use the golden rule.
Outdoor brands / fle fly has one that's pretty good .....we like them ....affordable as well
I have one that is orange and can be bought at Grizzly Gig or Crappie101. It not only measures but give approx. age and weight. It is a B&M Slabmaster Crappie Saver. You can read about them at Crappie 101. Cost about $20.00 and can handle up to 16;5 inches..... Hope this helps......crappie1133
I use the golden ruler, the same as the Wardens. I like the green one, because you can read it.
Grizzly jig has the BnM on sale for under 10 bucks.
Thank you, found a site

I always make sure to use the same type of measuring device as the game wardens. All rulers aren't created equal and those easy checkers are known to lie, especially on fat fish.

I had one of those one time but it flew out of the boat while trailering home.

Never had a use for one. No size limit here, always throw back the little guys.
Have thought about getting one, for those "only keeping the big ones" outings.
