Yall did pretty good considering the KY invasion at the event. That guy in the bibs done good on those cobblers. He had been practicing on us so he had it just right for the event.
We look forward to a big MS turnout at our ShinDig November 10-11. If anybody needs guidance as far as lodging or such, PM me or call. My number is in my contact info at bottom. We'll be cooking crappie like we always do in the big pavillion with the fireplace and side skirts if it gets too cold.
Longline and spider rig bite should be on like Donkey Kong. Fruit jar will be Friday with meet and greet after. Big day will be Saturday, pretty much all day.

Having trouble finding y'alls KY Fall Camp thread, I call myself looking, but if it's no trouble could you post the link? May work out on those dates for me, that's the weekend before the gun opener in MS.

Back at you. There are some resorts that will still be open then. Sportsman's has rooms and cabins available. They are on the water at Jonathan Creek. Great marina, great ramp, best cleaning station on the lakes
Welcome to Sportsman's Lodge on Kentucky Lake
Might do better calling 270-354-8333. I don't know if their web site has been updated.

It's up on KY Forum. Already got some MS takers.

Cooking in those dutch ovens reminds me of when we were backpacking in the Rockies 50 years ago. We used wood instead of charcoal though. Man that thing got heavy going up a mountain!

I probably would have to packed an aluminum model then...they don't cook quite as good, but it did save some weight
