$10?
Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a $10 per boat winner takes all (biggest crappie) on Jordan Lake one of these Saturday Mornings? I was thinking 6:30-11:30 or something like that. Anyone have a good digital scale?

Sounds like a good way to spend a Sat. morning. I'm sure Charles and I would be interested.
-
i have a good set, used them for the summer tx's the other year, but i work everyother sat. id be able to bringem july 29th or aug 12
-
Kevin has a good set. We had some fun a couple of summers back when we did a few Sat. morning tournaments.
-
wish i had more time available this summer to do some more but there getting there money's worth out of me right now
-
yall need to be deciding on a day, plans are being made and dates are filling up
-
How about the 29th? That's a good weekend for me too.
-
-
ok will do it the 29th ya'll wanna come up with a few rules? such as rod limit, start and stop times, who's taking up the money etc etc?
-
i say 12 rods, hooks in at 6:15am lines out by 11am, biggest fish wins, but make entry $20 instead, wieghin at the big oak tree at farrington be there by 12, i'll bring the scales if somebody will volunteer to take up the money and check livewells, your fish must be alive and caught in the mouth during the designated hours, and whomever is taking up the money tell us a time you will be there to take money say 5-5:45 or so, leave yourself enough time to get your boat launched as well
we could also do two pots, one for big fish and one for say the best 5 fish, $10 a pot, just a thought, what do ya'll say??
-
My intent was more for the social aspect then having an official tournament. I guess we could do $20 instead of $10 (At least ya don't have to worry about making change when withdrawing from an ATM). Let keep it one fish takes all though with the following rules:
Morning check in at the Farrington Big Tree like Gobbler suggested.
Poles in at or after 6:30am
Fish until when you want just be back to weigh in by 11:30
Fish Must be caught using a fishing pole(s). NO DYNAMITE -I'm looking at you Charles :D
Fish must be alive
The intent for the morning is to HAVE FUN! If your blood pressure is going to go up then skip this one.
I'll be happy to hold the envelope but would like someone with me.
Hows that?

What time are you planning on being available to take up the money redboat? and if this is set then make a seperate thread and announce it to everyone on here
-
Sounds like a good plan. Haven't been on Jordan since our last tournament that I think was in April. The water was up for a couple of weeks, but it is back near normal. We can go with 12 or 16 rods.
-
i havent been since rods tx in feb. sonim definetly going in cold
-
Just checked and the water temp is 88. Mid-summer fishing is definitely here. We caught some decent fish last summer in 91 degree water, so they will bite, especially in the morning.
-
I am going to leave my house at 4:30 so I should be there a little before 5:30.
-
Redboat you told Charles no dynamite what about a crank telephone lol

Sorry guys I can't make the 29th. Packaging 40,000 meals at church for stop hunger now and then grand daughter's 5th birthday party. Hope it is a success so maybe I can make the next one. Deep brush = Big fish!
-
Guys. I am going to make another thread tonight. But I'd like to offer 1 small change.. How about meeting and weighing in at Ebeneezer instead?
-
Mac Crappie. If you can call the fish into the boat then OK no poles required :D

we use the big oak at farrington because it offers shade, at ebenezer at 1130 there is no shade

I REALLY WANTED TO MAKE THIS ONE BUT IT IS A WORKDAY AT THE HUNTING CAMP. I HAVE TO WORK OR NOT HUNT. THINK I WILL HANG UP MY RIFLE AFTER THIS YEAR. FISHING IS MORE FUN AND I DONT HAVE TO BE QUIET
-
I feel your pain about workdays and giving it up on hunting. We got 5 days, yesterday was the first work day, heat index here was 103*. I'm more than ready to give my grandson an old but new to him Browning Safari II 270. LOL I ain't killed a deer in 2 years from my stand. Not that I can't, I'm just to picky with the rules we have. :scratchhead Lot of money and no deer antlers to cook! :Rofl
