Do they glow in the dark.....
Mercy! That's serious, unreal for sure. Very nice.
Ok, this yankee didn't know what a chink was and had to look it up in the Dictionary of American Regional English. All I can say is holy s*** those chinks are HUGE!!!!
Red eared sunfish.
Also called shell cracker. Curious, why not enter them for the record books. Also, state biologist would love to know about them. They are a size worth studying. By the way, I have caught many of them growing up in south La. and my biggest was 14 ounces. If I caught those you can be sure I would own the state top ten in the records. Never seen such size. Anyway that is just my own opinions. Congrats!! Awesome!! Wow!! You will be on the home page soon..
Wow !:yikes:yikes:yikes Never saw em that big.
Omg ! Oneon I know ur proud of that catch lol congrats again !

One Question,,, Did you use Crickets????
never seen em consistently that big. you got yourself a heck of a honey-hole right there my friend.
Daggum !
What lake is NWR ?
Those are freakishly big fish..you really should register a few in the state records..it would be great for the history of the biggest fish caught in louisiana. if you look at the records, there are years when for some reason a certain species just explode.. it would make great historical records..
Those are some awesome fish there! Thanks for sharing!
Boy Howdey yeah
Yeah, the LA top 10 range from 1.64 to 2.87 lbs. Those look like they might make it in that range. I haven't seen any shellcrackers that size consistently anywhere but in Florida many years ago.
Those things are giants, nice fish :yikes
Holy cow...I mean holy 'chink':yikes
