What is the main purpose for an aspirin head jig? Is it just to give you a place to glue the eyes to?
My next mold will be the Jacobs spinner Pill head. Why? Always liked aspirin heads. The $75 is a little high. Do-it is what $30 something for one mold. Two molds with spinner and two without, that's four molds. That would be $120 in do-it molds.
oh forgot jacobs mold can take 4,2,1,1/0 and 2/0 size hooks.
Love me some Jacobs pill head w/spinner. Best molds I ever owned. Too many people don't know how to pour his molds and complain about not knowing how or complain about the price though you're getting an aluminum mold. You can't just run lead across the gates sloppy like Do-Its molds. My heads are so much cleaner with his molds.

Anyone have a Jacobs with the spinner on one side in 1/16 for sale?
I don't anymore.
Yes they were painted with powder paint. I heated head and right before I dipped in paint I quickly dipped the end of the swivel in water. This cooled swivel off enough that paint didn't stick to swivel.
Did you have to mod. the mold to put the keeper in? Real nice heads BTW.
Those heads are beautiful
I've started looking, but where could I find a 1/16 pill head, no collar on one side and spinner on the other, Jacobs mold?
Yes I modified the non barb side. Very easy to do. Yes this is a Jacobs mold. Both sides are spinners. One being barb and other side non barb.
Here is a thread where I modded another mold to a wire keeper. Same principle.

How would a person go about filling a pour barb and replace it with the wire keeper ?
What's the tips to pouring these? I have the mold also.
I place the spout of the lead pot directly inside the gate cavity of the mold to pour. Never have a problem with a jighead not forming completely.
