I have two John Deeres and the parts are very expensive if bought from dealers. I usually look up the part numbers and start by looking on Ebay and Amazon and just googling to find the lowest prices on that particular part number. I bought a belt that was $79.00 from the John Deere green site for just $32.00 on Ebay this past week.
Go spend the money , you got plenty
Can you post a pic for size comparison? I may have one off my old tractor laying around somewhere. I sold it so I don't have any use for it

As far as online mower parts, I'd try either Jacks Small Engines or
Express Mower Parts

Jacks small engine is a good source. Usually pretty reasonable and parts available.

Didn't know Hollywood bigshots had to mow grass :Rofl
Man, y'all a rough crew. It's one thing get beat up on, but for Pstone to pile on? I mean, have y'all seen him in person. Tall as Sasquatch and about as furry and I'm sure he smells exactly the same. DonDon will back me up on this.

If we're talking mowers, sell the John Deere and buy an eXmark. Problem solved.

You can bet on one thing, if he bought green it's faded green and wore out when he got it. He ain't mowed enough grass to wear out a front end. Then again from the looks of the front ends on them tundras they rough on front ends at that place.

Ok, cray nailed it. Had the boys cutting 2 1 acre lot "s with a push mower. Felt sorry for em so I bought this faded green JD LX277. Not sure how old it is but I think they stopped making that model in the mid 90s. And yes, they promptly tore the front hood slap off. It's still green, but only the frame and rear fenders.
