It was so foggy here at the house this morning, I saw two ducks walking down the road. .....
Two shy of the limit when the wife called the game for me. 28 in the box. Three throwbacks and five unintentional throwbacks. Spent several hours fishing near and chatting boat to boat with CliffordN. Thoroughly enjoyed this blessing of a day. And home for lunch to boot! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...6d13d351e3.jpg

Nice catch!! Looks like y'all had a good morning! This dang humidity is back with a vengeance up this way.. so good thing to be off the water before high noon.
Wow! Nice crappie. That's going to be some nice fillets there for sure.
I believe you just had a perfect morning! Nice box shot.
Luckily the fog hung around until 7:15 or so then lifted and the breeze kicked up. Once the clouds broke, about 10:30 or so, the breeze died off and it became a bit oppressive, but I would never complain about windless conditions! [emoji16]

NICE CATCH BUD . WHAT ABOUT CLIFFORD YOU TEACH HIM ANYTHING YET ?
You done good. Hope to see yall out there next week. Heading to Tombigbee Thursday-Sunday to run trotlines then will be back after the crappie.
Results . It just don't seem to take with him
Well, today I tried a bunch of new stuff that "someone" thought might make the difference (more weight, smaller diameter line, weight farther away from the lure) It didn't! I used the rod holder on the front to hold one pole, then two, then finally three. I caught a catfish on the first one I dropped in, before I could even get anything else into the water, and thought this might actually work. But no... It was a fluke! The lake was a bit rough and after a couple of hours, and trying several spots, I left. Stayed at the landing for a while talking to the old man who is running trot lines, (with little success).... And, then when I drove across the dam, the lake was slick as glass... But, I wasn't fixin to go launch again! Try again tomorrow...
Slow down your boat . While your fishing .
Now that we got rid of the 17lb test and more weight on the line, I would focus on boat position and speed. Maintaining that strike zone depth is critical.

LEAST SOME OF THE FISH ARE SAFE FOR AWHILE . BE SAFE AND HURRY BACK . I'LL TRY TO KEEP YOU UP DATED ON CLIFFORD'S PROGRESS .LOL
I added even more weight tonight, and plan to be out there at first light, with my net man! The wind is gonna be rough, but I'm determined....
